The 915 Five features El Paso’s musicians and artists answering the same five questions. Each installment offers a stripped-down look at the people shaping the 915’s cultural landscape, in their own words. This week, we’re turning up the volume with Acid Spitter, an El Paso metal/punk band built on fury and riffs that hit harder than a desert storm. Their sound is fast, loud and unapologetically raw.
Band/Artist Name: Acid Spitter
Line-up: Marc (vocals), Damian (guitar), Sam (guitar), Danny (bass), Frank (drums)
Formed: All of us have been friends for years + have all played in previous bands together such as XSM, Nyctophagia & Communion Of Thieves. Our singer, Marc, had just moved back to El Paso and we were all looking to form a new project in 2024.

What high school did you go to?
Most of went to El Dorado & Burges
What’s your favorite local venue to play — and why?
Our favorite venue will always be the Lovesprout (RIP). We’ve always liked the atmosphere of house shows.
If you had to describe your sound without using a genre label, what would you say?
Ego death-driven ferocity.
What do you do when the song isn’t coming — push through, scrap it or something else?
We usually push through and are able to build off each other’s ideas and finish a song generally in one or two practices.
If someone is seeing you live for the first time, what should they expect?
Expect high energy dynamic drumming, deafening guitar tones, with bloody screams from the abyss.
